Video – Alex Smith at the CA State Capitol

On June 22nd 2010, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing to discuss the passing of CA Assembly Bill 12. With 49ers QB Alex Smith and a host of other foster youth advocates present, legislators at the capitol were briefed on why AB 12 is so important and why it will benefit our entire society if it is passed. The Judiciary Committee responded very favorably as did other legislators who participated in the discussions.


Fostering Media Connections (FMC) is a project of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI). FMC harnesses the power of journalism and media to drive public and political will behind policy and practice that improve the well-being of children in foster care.
