Empowered Youth Voices: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome and Building Confidence in Storytelling

Youth Voices Rising is proud to host the Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) to amplify the voices of youth with lived experience in the justice and child welfare systems. CJJ brings together advocates, policymakers, and young leaders to promote policies that reduce system involvement and improve support for youth. A key focus is empowering speakers to overcome imposter syndrome, build confidence, and share their stories effectively. Through CJJ’s national network and Youth Voices Rising’s storytelling platform, we are fostering spaces where youth feel heard and valued. This partnership ensures their voices help shape policies and drive meaningful change in the justice system.
